Rocco’s apartments are located in Sant’Anna. This is on the East coast of Sicily between culturally rich Catania to the South and Taormina with its spectacular views to the north. It is also at the foot of Etna, Europe’s biggest active volcano. The apartments face on one side the unforgettable view of Etna and on the other side, just across the road, is the sea. Sant’Anna’s closest villages are Riposto (the Port of Etna) and Giarre.

It is easy to get to; you fly to Catania (both Air Malta and British Airways fly direct from Gatwick) and then have a 30 minute journey on a bus to the railway station in Catania- and then take a train for 25 mins along the sea to Giarre-Riposto which is one of the main railway stations- all trains stop at this station, both local ones and long distance. Sant’Anna is a 15 minute walk from the station. Or you could hire a car from the airport, recommended so you can discover some of the monuments and natural wonders nearby. It takes about 45mins to one hour to get to the apartments carpark from the airport.
